		<description>Good post, however, I would have liked it more if you provided reasoning behind some things.. I don&#039;t like taking someones advice blindly without them telling me *why* it should be done (ie: No page file is a perfect example).

thanks for your compliment. I have been busy writing a post concerning optimizing Windows 2008 to use within VMware Workstation, but the draft version got lost, and I haven&#039;t had the time to re-write it. 

Nontheless, I want to point you to some other blog about optimizing Windows 2008 for VMware ESX, with some really usefull tips on how to speed up the OS and remove some unwanted stuff.
